Life - is it a mystery?

Looking through telescopic eyes,
The sailor said , "the land is near."

Lighting the lantern,
And raising the flag,
The captain echoed, "the land is near."

I saw dolphins and seagulls,
And some crows and sea birds,
crabs and broken boats,
Far away, in that island.

When the sun was sinking in the sea,
I was dumbfounded,
Where my journey would take me,
I was in the midst of sea,
And now, am stranded in an island.

Will I meet others,
Other travellers like me,
Aimless, but curious,
With enthusiasm about unknown.

Life- its a bit of mystery,
its unknown when plans go awry,
As I search in the woods,
Making way through itching plants,
And throwing away the thorns,
I am seeking a flower.

I am seeking a flower, in the unknown land,
Its unknown when plans go awry.
